O´CONNOR FEARGUS: (1794-1855) Irish Chartist Leader. Member of the British House of Commons and Parliament for County Cork. A leading Irish figure, advocate of the Land Plan. Scarce clipped piece, being the conclusion of a letter, by O´Connor stating `I am gentleman your.. Feargus O´Connor, Post office, Leeds, Yorkshire.´ The clipped piece has been affixed to an irregularly trimmed brown paper. Also including three clipped pieces, with signature only, all three affixed to the same brown paper, beneath Feargus O´Connor clipped piece, comprising Marquess of Donegall, Marquess of Downshire, and Earl of Hillsborough. Bearing to the verso two front cover envelopes affixed. F to G £200-300
