Book signed and inscribed, being a softcover French edition of Poto Poto , published by Editions de la Fontaine, 1956. Signed by Stroheim in blue ink to the title page, 'For Anita..who is such a wonderful friend (she even bought this copy!), with my sincerest wishes & all my love! Erich' , and dated 16 th September 1956 in his hand. With the original colour printed paper wrappers and bearing a small red ink stamp at the foot of the detached front free endpaper 'From the Library of Anita Loos' . An interesting association copy. The binding a little loose at the spine, the pages typically brittle throughout and with some chipping, tears and areas of paper loss (including to the signed title page) and with age toning to the edges, about G Anita Loos (1888-1981) American actress, novelist, playwright and screenwriter, best known for her comic novel Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1925).
