VASSILIKOS VASSILIS: (1934-     ) Greek writer and diplomat whose most famous work is the political work Z (1967) which formed the basis for the award-winning film of the same title directed by Costa-Gavras. The writer forwards his correspondent a passage of text, in his lame French, which he felt honoured to be asked for, and hopes that D'Astier will be able to extract a few sentences from it.
