PEYSSARD JEAN PASCAL DE: (1755-1808) French member of the National Convention. Peyssard voted in favour of executing King Louis XVI. A good D.S., Peyssard, four pages, large folio, [Périgueux], [September 1792], in French. The document is countersigned by close to 300 inhabitants of Perigueux, and states in part `..Citizens, the Royalists agents have tried to keep you far from the Assembly meeting..we have discovered their attempt to finish with the friends of freedom..the traitors have been identified.. Do not think we are looking for revenge, we are still your brothers..let´s remain all together supporting a government which has saved France..´ Tears to the centre fold professionally repaired, overall staining, and edges very slightly trimmed.
