HOOVER J. EDGAR: (1895-1972) American law enforcement administrator, the first Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) 1924-72. A large vintage signed and inscribed 9 x 11.5 photograph of Hoover in a semi-profile head and shoulders pose. Signed in fountain pen ink to the lower border and dated 10th January 1950 in his hand.
