Signed in bold dark fountain pen ink to a light area at the base of the image and dated 17^th May 1927 in his hand. Together with a brief T.L.S., J. Ramsay MacDonald, one page, oblong 8vo, Lincolns Inn Fields, London, 1^st March 1910, to J. H. Wells, thanking him for his kind letter and remarking 'It has given me great pleasure to read it'. Some light overall age wear to the photograph and with a tape stain to the lower right edge, only very slightly affecting the signature. The letter neatly trimmed and laid down to a page removed from an autograph album. G, 2
