DEGAS EDGAR: (1834-1917) French Impressionist Painter. A good A.L.S., ` Degas´, one page, 8vo, n.p., Wednesday, n.d., [3 rd April 1901], to an unidentified correspondent, in French. Degas is ill and reports to his correspondent his small health improvements, stating ` Je me lève dans la journée mais je garde la chambre depuis quelques jours. C´est un coup de froid que j´ai du prendre par cet affreux temps. Je ne vous écris pas plus long et vous embrasse´ (Translation: “ I get up during the day but I've been keeping the room for a few days. It was a cold that I must have suffered because of this terrible weather. I won't write you any longer and kiss you”) With blank integral leaf. Few very small stains not affecting the text or signature with a very small tear to the centre fold edge, otherwise G to VG
