LESZCYNSKA MARIE: (1703-1768) Polish Princess, Queen Consort of France 1725-68 as the wife of King Louis XV. A very fine L.S., Marie, as Queen Consort, one page, large folio, Versailles, 18th June 1753, to the Prince of Sainte-Croix, in French. The Queen thanks her correspondent for his letter and states `Vous vous exprimez d´une manière satisfaisante pour ce qui me regarde que je ne forme aucun doute sur la sincérité des sentiments que vous me témoignez...´ (Translation: “You express yourself in a way that is satisfactory to me, so that I have no doubt about the sincerity of the feelings you give me testimony of…”) Countersigned at the base by Castanier, and addressed to the verso. Paper with watermark. Extremely small creases to the edges and few very small tears to the fold. G
