RAMIREZ SANCHEZ ILLICH: (1949- ) Carlos the Jackal. Venezuelan political terrorist, for many years one of the most-wanted international fugitives. A.L.S., Carlos, to one side of his personal printed correspondence card, Clairvaux Prison, Ville-sous-la-Ferte, 15th September 2007, to Alain Raboud, in French. Ramirez Sanchez thanks his correspondent for their letter and asks to be sent a copy of an article which appeared in a Swiss newspaper, further sending a thought for his comrade Bruno Breguet. A small colour 3 x 4 photograph of Ramirez Sanchez is neatly affixed above his signature, the image depicting him in a head and shoulders pose with his raised hands in handcuffs. Accompanied by the original envelope ´signed´ ( ´Ilich RAMIREZ SANCHEZ´) by Carlos the Jackal in the return address to the verso. Together with a small selection of French language newspaper clippings relating to Ramirez Sanchez. VG, 4
