Handwritten Shechita Certificate – Torino, Italy – 1721
The certificate was given to the young man Avraham Lev by the Dayan Rabbi Meir ben Rabbi Shimon Baki and it contains authorization for the laws of Shechita by Rabbi Gabriel the son of Rabbi Shlomo Pontremoli.

Rabbi Gabriel Pontremoli was the head of yeshiva and Dayan of Casale (referred to by the Rabach Responsa, leaf 160). He was a leading Torah and kabbalah scholar.
