AL PACINO - PHOTO WITH AUTOGRAPH AND POSTER WITH AUTOGRAPH
Alfredo James Pacino, known as Al (New York, April 25, 1940), is an American actor.
Considered one of the best actors in the history of cinema, Al Pacino won the Academy Award in 1993 (out of 9 total nominations) for his portrayal of Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade in "Scent of a Woman". Over the years he has played characters who have remained imprinted in the history of modern cinema and popular culture, including gangsters such as Michael Corleone in "The Godfather" trilogy (1972-1974-1990) by Francis Ford Coppola, Tony Montana in "Scarface" (1983) and Carlito Brigante in "Carlito's Way" (1993), both by Brian De Palma, Benjamin "Lefty" Ruggiero in "Donnie Brasco" (1997) by Mike Newell and trade unionist Jimmy Hoffa in "The Irishman" (2019) by Martin Scorsese.
A theatrically trained actor, he has won numerous awards for his performances on stage, where he prefers intense Shakespearean roles (Richard III, Shylock, Hamlet, Julius Caesar): since the 1960s he has brought to the stage, among others, works by Bertolt Brecht, Eugene O'Neill, Oscar Wilde, David Mamet.
He also tried his hand at directing and on the small screen he starred in the television miniseries "Angels in America" (2003), where he won awards for the role of the terminally ill AIDS patient Roy Cohn; he starred as Jack Kevorkian in the television film "You Don't Know Jack" (2010), directed by Barry Levinson and produced by HBO. The collaboration with HBO continued in 2013 with "Phil Spector", and in 2018 with "Paterno", where he played the record producer of the same name and the football coach of the same name respectively.
