ADA NEGRI - POSTCARD WITH AUTOGRAPH
Ada Negri (Lodi, 3 February 1870 – Milan, 11 January 1945) was an Italian poet, writer and teacher.
She is also remembered for being the first and only woman to be admitted to the Accademia d'Italia.
[The Reale Accademia d'Italia was an Italian cultural institution, operating between 1929 and 1944, founded during the fascist regime and its direct emanation. With law 755 of 1939 the Reale Accademia came into possession of the assets of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, whose members were included in the staff as simple aggregate members. The Accademia dei Lincei regained its autonomy only after the suppression of the Accademia d'Italia.
Founded with the task of promoting and coordinating the Italian intellectual movement in the field of science, literature and the arts, of preserving the pure national character, according to the genius and traditions of the lineage and of promoting its expansion and influence beyond the borders of the State (art. 2 of the Statute). ]
Very rare postcard written and autographed by the great writer.
