Title: The more the sun shines the more water evaporates clouds appear and the sun - shines less The less the sun shines the less water evaporates clouds diminish and the sun - shines more (de capo). Matte finished print on paper depicting an abstracted geometric image richly pigmented in blue, gray, and black. Made in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Josef Albers was a Bauhaus Master and one of the most influential art educators. Albers was also the first living artist to be given a solo show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Bottom left corner of sheet is seal of Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Title also begins at lower left corner of sheet. Signature on lower right corner in pencil.
