Style Two. Green, cream and red coloration. As commander-in-chief of the American States, George Washington (1732 - 1799) led them to victory in the War of Independence. In 1789 he became the first President of the United States, governing for two terms until 1797. This jug was issued to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Washington's birth. Issued 1995 in limited edition of 2,500. Series: Presidents of the United States. Royal Doulton backstamp.
