L'opera è da sempre conservata in collezione privata come espressione artistica di Peeters Bonaventura anche in virtù di alcune conferme orali da parte di vari studiosi. Aggiornando la ricerca attributiva, la tela è sicuramente opera di un maestro, e venne realizzata nell'ambiente pittorico che coinvolse anche Abraham Storck e Willem van de Velde il Giovane.

The artwork has always been kept in private collection, being considered the artistic expression of Peeters Bonaventura, also by virtue of some oral confirmations by various scholars. Updating the attributive research, the canvas is certainly the artwork of a master, and was made in the pictorial environment that also involved Abraham Storck and Willem van de Velde the Younger.
