L'opera, come spesso succedeva per Bison e i pittori della sua epoca, è una libera interpretazione della veduta di Canaletto delle collezioni reali inglesi conservata al Windsor Castle.
Considerando la materia pittorica e la cromia, la tela risulta pienamente settecentesca. Essa è una delle varie versioni conosciute, si vedano:

In tutte queste opere si nota una convergenza stilistica nella realizzazione delle imbarcazioni, nei personaggi identici per posture e nella finissima tecnica realizzativa composta da minuti e vibranti tocchi di colore, nonché nella grande nuvola grigia a destra, che risalta nel cielo illuminata dalla calda luce di mezzogiorno.

The artwork, as often happened for Bison and the painters of his era, is a free interpretation of Canaletto's view of the English royal collections kept at Windsor Castle.

In all these artworks we note a stylistic convergence in the construction of the boats, in the characters with identical postures and in the very fine construction technique composed of minute and vibrant touches of color, as well as in the large gray cloud on the right, which stands out against the sky illuminated by the warm light of noon.
