Villeroy & Boch Dwarf punch
circa 1890, monogrammed "H.S.", embossed mark V & B Mettlach, model number 2088, cream-coloured porcelain stoneware, incised, matt painted and partly glazed, partially gilt, on both sides figural scenes of noblemen drinking with Cupid and making music respectively. on the base a dwarf motif, richly decorated with rocailles, cornucopias and lattice decoration, two dragons on the sides as handles, the lid crowned by a fully sculptured grape, partly a little glaze underlay and repaired gold, lid completely professionally restored, one dragon with chip, h 45 cm, d 40 cm.
