Since 1982 Rudolf Ewerhart lived with his wife Helene in the late baroque Burghaus Wassenach near the Laacher See, the aristocratic residence of the Knights of Kolb built from 1772-1775. Parallel to the extensive renovation

In 1996 he organized exclusive concerts in the “Music in the Burghaus Wassenach” series in the hall of the mansion, at which newly acquired or freshly restored instruments from the collection in the were the focus.

CONVOLUTE OF PONTIC/CRETIC LYRA, STRING ZITHER AND INDIAN RAAVAN HATHA
The Pontic lyre is similar to the pochette and has three strings. The fingerboard is decorated with patterns. There is no bridge, the instrument is not playable. Clear signs of age and use.
Dimensions: Length: 62cm, width: 8.9cm, height: 8.2cm.
The heart-shaped zither has a paper label in each sound hole with the inscription: "Carl Padewet, Saiten-Instrumentenmacher in München, Rindermarkt No. 20" (Carl (Karl) Padewet (Padowet), * 2 June 1822 in Vienna, † 23 March 1896, was a bow maker and violin maker in Munich). Next to it are two medallions: "Maximilian II, Koenig v. Bayern" and "Ausstellung Deutscher Industrie- und Gewerbserzeugnisse in München 1854". The instrument is in an apparently original storage box lined with red felt. Various signs of age and use.
