Portuguese silver tea and coffee service, 19th century, consisting of coffee maker, teapot, milk jug, two sugar bowls and a bowl of drippings. Body decorated with flower borders with a sphinx-shaped cap button, the milkmaid's in the shape of a goat. Seated on four ball claw feet. With Lisbon mark (L-42.0), in use from c.1822 to c.1860, and CIMS maker's mark (L-198.0), attributable to Cirilo José Maz da Silva. Small dents, small defects and scratches.
