Carved Malachite Lion and Rhino Figures
Two small animal figures carved from Malachite. Measurements: The lion is 4 x 2.5 inches, and the Rhino is 3 x 1.5 inches. Malachite has been traditionally used to ward off danger and fight illness. Malachite is a green copper carbonate mineral. It is part of the monolithic crystal system and has a silky luster. Malachite is often used as an ore of copper. It has an opaque transparency and sometimes has a patterned surface.
