First edition of the most complete materia medica of the time, compiled by the Parisian apothecary and botanist Pomet who gathered his collection of drugs from all parts of the world with which France traded. Folio (383 x 248mm). Half-title, engraved portrait, title in red and black, numerous engravings in text and a plate, woodcu initials and headpieces (small marginal repair to thalf-title, some brownins and spotting, O1, X1 with repaired external margin, some other sporadic restoration or repaired tear).
