RADZIVIL, Mikolaj Krzysztof (1549-1616) - Ierosolymitana Peregrinatio.. Primum a Thoma Tretero Custode Varmiensi ex polonico sermone in Latinum translata, nunc varie aucta et correctius in lucem edita. Antwerp: Plantin, 1614. Second edition published after the first of 1601. This renowned account by the Lithuanian Prince Nicolas Christophe Radzivil describes his travels in the Holy Land during his trip of 1582-84 through Syria, Egypt, Crete, Cyprus, Italy, and Greece. Folio (309 x 201mm). Title within engraved architectural border, 5 full-page engraved illustrations of which one illustrating the Holy Sepulcher, woodcut initials, printer's device at end (some staining, light browning and spotting). Contemporary vellum (some staining, head of spine split). Provenance: Duca di Teneryn (ownership inscription).
