BONDÌ DI MAZO - La spada maestra. Venice: Domenico Lovisa, 1696. First edition of this sought after work on fencing. Oblong 4to (158 x 215mm). Woodcut vignette on title, at p.3 engraved illustration with Hebrew and Latin text at borders, 80 engraved numbered illustrations by Grazia Sacerdote (plate 13 with some soiling, at p.164 text overslips as in the copy at the Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale of Rome, plate 75 and text on recto in facsimile handwriting, plate 79 with repairs, some occasional browning and staining). Modern vellum, manuscript title on spine. Provenance: early drawing to rector of plate 4.
