Neruda, Pablo. ‘Los versos del capitán”. Napoli - MCMLII, and Explanation of “Los versos del capitán” . Isla Negra, November 1963.

unknown author and was printed in Naples on July 8 of MCMLII in the “L’arte Tipografica” printing press. Originally published in 1952, anonymously, and under the auspices of Paolo Ricci, Los versos del capitán is one of the three or four most rare and difficult books by the Chilean poet. The print run only comprised 44 copies which were not for re-sale, all of them were nominative.
Explanation of “Los versos del capitán” (The Captain’s Verses). Isla Negra, November 1963. 4º. Corrections and signature handwritten by Pablo Neruda. This is an extremely important original document, one typewritten sheet of paper with handwritten corrections and signature by Pablo Neruda himself, and also corrections by the printer at the publishing house: selected typography, letter size, spacing corrections, etc. This is a very significant text which comprises the original Prologue of the first non-anonymous edition of "Los versos del capitán". With great beauty, the preface clarifies the uncertainty in which the book had always been veiled. 27x22 cm.
