On a preliminary page: “This is an extract of the song The Liberators, which is, in its turn, a fragment of the vast work Canto General which Editorial Losada would publish in Buenos Aires. The previously unpublished originals which are printed in these pages are followed by the note which appears on the last page: “Escrito en Las Nubes, en Agosto de 1948” (Written in the Clouds, in August 1948). “In the colophon: ...”printing was completed in Santiago de Chile, on the 14th May 1949, at the Imprenta Universitaria workshop, 240 copies of this book have been printed”.
