Handwritten poem, El sello del arado, in green ink, on a sheet of paper with the former “Fundación Neruda para el Estudio de la Poesía” (Pablo Neruda Foundation for the Study of Poetry) letterhead, autographed by Pablo Neruda. There are crossings out on the fifth and sixth verses. 27x21 cm. Pablo Neruda’s autograph is at the end of the poem. [On the 20th June 1954, Juan Gómez Millas, rector of the University of Chile, placed the first stone of the Fundación Pablo Neruda para el Estudio de la Poesía, at Michoacán de Los Guindos House. Salvador Allende, Volodia Teitelboim, Juvencio Valle, Laura Reyes, Delia del Carril and Pablo Neruda himself were among the attendees at the ceremony. The poet had donated his library and 7784 shells to the University of Chile, through a public deed registered with Bravo Gálvez Notaries on the 29th November 1953.
