A GLAZED CERAMIC ZODIAC ANIMAL
China, Liao dynasty
The standing figure with the head of a monkey, the robe covered with a thick glaze in brown and beige with touches of green.
25 cm high
Provenance: ambassador Francesco Rausi.
This statuette originally belonged to a group of twelve pieces together representing the animals of the traditional Chinese zodiac.
