He made his debut in Rome in the context of the Secessions; scarce testimonies remain of this period, which serve to underline even more the singularity of the detachment with subsequent experiences. Between 1918 and '23 he founded and directed the magazine "Valori Plastici" and also organized the group's exhibition activities in Germany and Italy. Through the magazine he elaborates a vast program of redefining the values
