An Esther scroll, megillah, in decorative parcel gilt filigree case, possibly Ukrainian, c.1940, the panelled sides decorated with heart motifs against a gilt ground, both the domed top and base with openwork sphere finials, one operating as the winder, the scroll guard with chain dependant to parchment with 17 lines to a column (wear to top and bottom lines), each of which is separated by a brightly painted foliate motif, depth 7cm, case length 15.3cm.
