Portrait of Ava Gardner plaster sculpture, 200cm. high The work represents the cast of the famous porcelain sculpture that the artist made for Joseph Mankiewicz's film "The Barefoot Countess" (1954), played by Ava Gardner and Humphrey Bogart. Later the statue was bought by Frank Sinatra who placed it in his mansion in Beverly Hills, then forced to put it away in a closet due to his wife's jealousy. As per the communication of the current owner, the cast represents the only existing example since the original was destroyed.
