Notes: acquired by Almada Negreiros after being exhibited at the Lisbon Surrealist Exhibition, held on the former atelier of António Pedro and António Dacosta (Travessa da Trindade, 25), from January 19 to 31, 1949, as reported in the digital raisonné catalogue published by the Centro de Arte Moderna – Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in 2014, which also lists several exhibitions where the work was featured (vd. dacosta.gulbenkian.pt/obras/listagem-de-obras/cuidado-com-os-filhos.html - consultado dia 13/07/2021 às 16:05);

It was part of the exhibition "António Dacosta", held at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon, from February 23rd to Narch 27th 1988, and at Serralves foundation, Oport, from April 8 to May 8 - 1988, which is reproduced on the respective catalogue.
