A Commander's badge (III Class): neck decoration as a silver star formed by stylized palms and towers; large, gilt silver centre bearing long inscription in arab calligraphy, a stylized, white enameled shell and, in the middle, the portrait of the Sheikh facing left, within outer circlet decorated with thin laurel wreath and tiny rings; the reverse, with broad, convex countermedallion, this, struck with silver and maker's marks; round suspension ring and broad ribbon ring decorated with lozenges; original, ivory silk neck ribbon.
