"Secrétaire à abattant" francesa, Luís XVI, XVIII
French "Secrétaire à abattant", Louis XVI, from the century. XVIII, in several solid and veneered woods, with a folding top and two doors. Top with marble top in shades of black and white. Inside with six drawers, two shelves with divider and central niche, writing top lined with sheepskin in shades of brown with gold irons. Doors revealing a shelf with a center divider inside. Marquetry decoration with geometric motifs in contrasting wood. Corners with application of gilded bronze mountings with plant motifs. Locks and handles in gilded bronze decorated with plant motifs and pearls. With engraved stamp of the "maître ébéniste" "JBHENRY". With keys. Many traces of woodworm, stains, flaws, restorations and defects. Dim. approx.: 144 x 98 x 39.5 cm.
