Relógio francês, do séc. XIX
French watch, from the 19th century. Wooden box covered with tortoiseshell and gilded bronze plaques, with plant wrappings and floral motifs, the inside bottom of the box with geometric pattern motifs and reserve with plant motifs. With application of mountings in gilded bronze with "putti", mask, goat's heads, plant motifs and fins, ending in plant-style winding feet. Topped by a sculpture of perfect shape, in gilded bronze, representing a female figure with a torch and flowers. Dial in gilded bronze, decorated with relief with atlantes, plant windings, little angel, drapery, birds and floral and plant motifs. Numbering in white enamel with black Roman numerals. Set on corbel repeating the same decoration. The interior of the rear door is profusely decorated with vegetal windings. Tagged "Guydevaux Besançon". Traces of woodworm, faults, failures, restorations and defects. Am. approx. clock: 84 cm.; Approx. corbel: 34 cm.
