Centro de mesa em prata inglesa 925%, P.5702g
Center table in English silver, crystal and glass, 18th 19th century. Cropped base decorated with plant motifs, friezes of foliage, plain medallion and engraving of the Barry family crest. With three holders for cups, decorated with vegetal windings, the central one being larger and flanked at the base by four muses, female figures allusive to astronomy, art and music. Central bowl in cut crystal, with glued flaw, flanked by two replaced glass bowls, manufactured later. With 925 thousandth Sheffield contrast marking in use in 1898 and Lee & Wigfull goldsmith marking. Two nuts missing. Faults, minor defects and signs of use.
