Italian inlaid side table - Sorrento, 19th century, attributed to the workshop of cabinetmaker MICHELE GRANDEVILLE - made in in exotic precious woods, the top is divided into three squares with the corners enriched by faces of mythological figures. It is entirely inlaid in micro-mosaic and bears grotesque motifs with a large scene of tarantella dancers in the centre. The base has a hexagonal section ending in three cabriole feet. Height 76 cm, diameter 73 cm. Item condition grading: **** good.
