A CÉLADON GLAZED AND INCISED CERAMIC EWER AND LID
Korea, Goryeo period, 13th-14th century
The ewer with a low ring base supporting a globular body with spout and ring handle, the flat circular lid surmounted by a finial shaped as a bud, the decoration on the outside of the body consisting of incised floral motifs, on the lid carved paired leaves.
12 x 17 x 13 cm
Provenance: Italian private collection, acquired in Korea in the 1960s.
