RILKE RAINER MARIA: (1875-1926) Bohemian-Austrian Novelist and Poet. Scarce Autograph annotations in the hand of Rainer Maria Rilke, two pages, on a 5.5 x 4 page (13.5 cm x 10.5 cm), part in French and part in German. Rilke cleanly annotates `Jacques Sindral, Attirance de la Mort´, below he adds and crosses `Paul Valéry, Eupalinos´, and to the bottom of the front page `Das ganze grosse Werk des, Marcel Proust!´ (“All the great work of Marcel Proust!”). To the verso Rilke annotates three more writers and works `Valery Larbaud´s, Amants, Heureux Amants..´, and two more in German, mentioning Paul Morand, Giraudoux, Philippe Soupault and Louis Aragon. The present autograph note was written during the last year of his life [circa 1925-1926] VG
