An authentic and well preserved early Second World War Luftwaffe enlisted man's belt and buckle, featuring the desirable “droop tail” eagle motif.

This original issue belt comprises a classic blackened leather strap with visible period wear and patina, accompanied by an early pattern aluminium buckle bearing the Luftwaffe eagle with distinctive droop tail wings, clutching a swastika within a laurel wreath. The reverse of the buckle reveals the integrated hidden clasp hook - a key characteristic of early-war manufacture - securely riveted in place.

The leather belt measures approximately 110cm in length, with seven pre-set adjustment holes and an additional post-manufacture extension hole, likely added during wartime service for practical resizing. Buckle and leather both show age-commensurate wear, particularly to the interior surface, but remain structurally sound.

This piece is representative of Luftwaffe field gear worn by non-commissioned personnel during the early campaigns of the Second World War, making it a compelling addition to any serious military history or Third Reich militaria collection.
