INFORMATION: Chagall's Bible was published by Tériade in 1956, completing a project initiated by Vollard in 1930. Chagall engraved the brass between 1931 and 1939 in the workshops of Maurice Potin. The project was interrupted by the war.
The copy presented here, from the Tériade archives, is one of the rare proofs printed in 1931/1939.

INFORMATION : La Bible de Chagall a été éditée par Tériade en 1956, terminant un projet initié par Vollard en 1930. Chagall a gravé les cuivres entre 1931 et 1939 dans les ateliers de Maurice Potin. Le projet fut interrompu par la guerre.
L'exemplaire présenté ici, provenant des archives de Tériade, fait partie des rares épreuves imprimées en 1931/1939.
