Rabbi Yishma'el ben Rabbu Avraham Yitzchak Hacohen of Modena (1723-1811) one of the greatest rabbis of Italy, author of Sefer Zerah Emes, successor of his brother Rabbi David Hacohen as the Rav of Modena and its Rosh Yeshiva. Also authored poems, a commentary on the Passover Haggadah, Seforim of innovations and Drushim and more. A friend of Rabbeinu the Chida.
