Large anti-semitic statue, hand carved wood. Germany, middle of the 1930's
Wooden large statue, inthe form of a Jew with a long nose, beard, long coat and a hat יholding 1 reichspfennig coin. (Germany, 1935).
19.5cm high, the base area is 5x5cm, painted in black, brown, and red.
Background: the coin in the hand of the form of a Jew, symbolizes the presecution and corruption of anti semitism towards the Jews. This coin was a German coin from the year 1935, the year that the Nazi government enacted in Germany the famous laws known as "Nurneburg Laws". Anti semitic statues as toys for children to educate the young generation and poisen them with anti semitism.
