Rabbi Moshe Reich was the rabbi of Madiash (Meditz) and the area, the son of Rabbi Ya'akov Kapel Reich, who was one of the leaders of Hungarian Orthodox Jewry in the 19th and early 20th centuries, The Chief Rabbi of Budapest, Rabbi Zvi Reich, also served as his deputy in the rabbinate of Adiyash.
