כפי הידוע במהדורה זו נדפס רק החלק ליום כפור.
העורך, יצחק מאיר וייז - (1819-1900), ממנהיגי היהדות הרפורמית בארה"ב, רב קהילת "בני ישורון" בסינסינטי ומייסד ה"היברו יוניון קולג'". וייז האמין ביהדות אמריקנית מאוחדת ושאף ליצור סידור אמריקני עבור כל בתי הכנסת במדינה. בשנת 1855 היה חבר בועדה אשר שקדה על הדפסת סידור רפורמי חדש, תחת השם "מנהג אמריקה".
