Asta Bidspirit | Apollo mask on pedestal

Apollo mask on pedestal - A superb addition to a personal collection or a magnificent gift for a lover of antiquity, this mask reproduces in stunning detail the iconography of the Greek god Apollo, as seen in the post-Hellenistic marble statue displayed in the Belvedere Courtyard of the Vatican Museums, Rome . The irregular cut of the piece gives it the charm of a fragment found among the ruins, which contrasts with the serene elegance of the portrait. The bronze mask rests on a pedestal.
