Rare Artistic Photograph of Prof. Einstein Smoking a Corn Pipe, With an Autographed Inscription. 1937 - Large and interesting artistic photograph of Prof. Albert Einstein smoking a corn pipe, presented to his good friend Dr. Held . 1937 Specifications: [1] original photograph. 18X25 cm. The photograph was originally pasted onto a cardboard, which was later reinforced from behind with transparent adhesive tape on the top and bottom. Unique features: There is apparently no known copy of this delightful and unique photograph. Photographs that document Einstein smoking a corn pipe are rare. The photographer created an artistic element to the photograph using  a technique called ”soft focus.” On the lower part of the cardboard, under the photograph, Einstein wrote: ”To the wise and good Mr. Dr. Held,  with affection,  Albert Einstein, February 1937.” Condition: Very fine, with the exception of tears at the edges of the cardboard on which the photograph was affixed, without damage to the photograph or inscription.
