Letter Signed by the Rabbis of Marrakech. 1886 - Bill of receipt signed by the rabbis of Marrakech, for a monetary donation towards 'clothing the naked.'  The donation was sent from Sir Montefiore's  estate  to Mogador  via Altona , and from there to Marrakech.  1886. Specifications: [1] page, paper. 15x20 cm. Handsome handwriting. Unique Features: Bill of receipt attesting to the continuation of Sir Montefiore's charitable works to the Jewish communities even after his passing. Signed by the rabbis: Rabbi Raphael Yosef Charush, one of the most prominent Moroccan rabbis of  his day [see further on him in  Malchei Rabbanan , p. 108a, and Shu”t Rabbi Ya'akov Bitan in the history of the author, p. 306]. Rabbi Avraham Ibn Mocha [ Malchei Rabbanan, p. 7a] and Rabbi Menachem Tzarfati. Condition: Very fine. Fold marks.
