TEMPLE SHIRLEY: (1928-2014) American actress, recipient of the first special Juvenile Academy Award in 1935. D.S., Shirley Temple, one page, 4to, Culver City, California, 19th November 1941, on the printed stationery of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures. The typed document takes the form of a letter addressed to Temple and states, in part, 'This is to advise you that we have no objection to your entering into an agreement with Rosenau Brothers, Inc., whereby said company will copy and manufacture dresses used by you, but created and furnished by us, for our picture “KATHLEEN”. We also agree that said company may use still photographs of you in said dresses for the publicity in connection with the manufacture and sale of said dresses', signed by Temple at the foot, indicating her approval and acceptance, and countersigned by both of her parents, George and Gertrude Temple, individually as well as the assistant treasurer of Loew's Incorporated. Two file holes and a few minor staple holes to the upper edge, not affecting the text or signatures, otherwise VG
