Colorful lithograph depicting a surrealist scene of a man in 18thc. style clothing with a long nosed green figure and a large white rabbit head in the background. Signed by artist in pencil on lower right with XXII/L written to lower left. Black matte border with black mount; wood grain frame with beaded inner border. Mihail Chemiakin was born in Moscow in 1943 and was later exiled from Soviet Russia in 1971. Upon his return to post-Soviet Russia, he was commissioned by government officials to create monuments dedicated to Peter the Great, the Victims of Political Repressions, and the Architects and Builders of St. Petersburg. He also has monuments erected in France. Sight size: 14.5"W x 14.5"H; frame: 18"W x 18"H x 1"D. Certificate of Authenticity included.
