Letter dated 1940 to the Ezras Torah relief organisation by Rabbi Yehuda Leib Dan Yichyeh appealing for assistance.
Rabbi Yehuda Leib Dan Yichyeh (1869-1942), born to a Chabad chassidic family, and studied at Volozhin under Rabbi Chaim Soloweichik of Brisk. Son-in-law of Rabbi Shlomo HaCohen of Vilna. Rabbi of Drisa, Shklow and Chernigov. Settled in Eretz Yisrael in 1936.
